Dante Micheaux
Poet. Advocate. Literary Leader.
For more than two decades, Dante Micheaux has devoted his skills to the written word, not only as an acclaimed poet, but as a champion of writers and the institutions that sustain literary culture.
As the author of Circus (winner of the Four Quartets Prize) and Amorous Shepherd, Dante's work has earned national recognition for its formal precision, lyric intelligence, and emotional depth. His poems, essays, and translations have appeared in many leading literary journals, and his honors include the Ambit Poetry Prize, the Oscar Wilde Award, an Amy Clampitt Residency, and fellowships from Cave Canem Foundation, The New York Times Foundation and Civitella Ranieri.
His influence extends well beyond the page. Through years of teaching, programming, mentorship and literary leadership, Dante has helped shape spaces where writers can deepen their craft, discover community, and bring their work into meaningful conversation with readers. His approach is guided by equal measures of discernment, generosity, and artistic rigor.
The Micheaux Group represents the natural evolution of that work: a practice dedicated to advocating for writers, cultivating enduring institutional partnerships, and expanding the possibilities of literary life.

Meet Our Director of Operations
Morgan Stiff
Storyteller. Talent Manager. Strategist.
With a BFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University and an MFA in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California, Morgan brings a story-first sensibility to her work with writers, artists, and institutions. Her background includes work as a producer and editor in both fiction and documentary film, along with experience in talent management, operations, and creative strategy, giving her a rare ability to move between creative vision and the structures that help bring it to life.
In the film world, Morgan worked as a talent manager, stewarding the careers of writers and directors as they developed their voices, clarified their ambitions, and learned to move through the industry with greater intention.
Her film credits include the critically acclaimed Mississippi Damned and BURN: One Year on the Frontlines of the Battle to Save Detroit, along with other documentary and narrative projects centered on complex lives and stories that demand care. Her work has been shaped by a deep respect for language, emotional truth, and the unseen labor required to bring a vision into form.
As Chief Operating Officer of The Inner Fitness Project, Morgan helped build programs, systems, and experiences rooted in resilience, reflection, and transformation. Through The Micheaux Group, she supports writers, programs, partnerships, and creative infrastructure with the eye of an editor, the instincts of a producer, the discernment of a manager, and a deep belief in the value of work made with clarity, care, and intention.
